Warrington u3a is a local charity enabling people who are no longer in full-time work to come together and learn for fun.
We are part of the UK-wide u3a movement of over a thousand similar local groups. The u3a helps members develop their interests in a friendly and relaxed environment.
It is all voluntary, and we teach and learn from each other. And it's all just for pleasure. Enjoyment is the prime motive, not qualifications or awards.

Groups
Warrington u3a has over a thousand members, and is home to over 50 activity groups covering a wide range of topics, from Art to Ukulele, American Square Dance to Walking, Philosophy to Knit and Natter, and everything in between.
Our groups meet in or near the town centre wherever possible. Because of the range of our activities, some meet out of town but still with easy access by bus or with convenient parking. Meetings are free or sometimes have a nominal charge for outside speakers or materials. Whether you would like to learn a new subject or brush up on an existing interest, Warrington u3a is for you.
Monthly meetings
As well as the regular group meetings, we also meet on the first Wednesday of most months for our Monthly Meeting, enjoying a variety of interesting speakers, sharing a tea or coffee afterwards and catching up with friends. Prospective and new members are also invited to attend this very sociable afternoon, where you can also meet the leaders of the various groups and perhaps join any that interest you.
