Group Leader Dilys Bowes

The “Moving On Group” is for those members who wish to explore more than just basic strumming. We have two separate groups. The Improvers Group meet on the first or second Wednesday of the month, and the Advanced Group meet on the third or fourth Wednesday of the month.

Selected songs will be sent out via e-mail about two weeks prior to the meeting. This allows time for members to become familiar with the songs and to practice the picking and strumming techniques, together with any new chords. The e-mail and attached song sheet will include information on how to play each song; there will also be a helpful YouTube link.

Meetings will include a demonstration and there will be opportunities for members to seek help and advice on any difficulties they encounter. Given the nature of the activity and the amount of interaction between members, the group size is kept relatively small and there may be a waiting list.
