Parking is free, and available between the entrance to the barn café, which faces away from the road., and Go Ape. Should this be full, go north across the road and there is plenty of parking on the road to the Upper Barn (Rivington Hall Barn). Toilets available, and the café for coffee afterwards.

Walk: The walk takes us up through the terraced gardens. It is very scenic and steep , climbing several sets of steps, which we will take at a comfortable pace. The steps and paths are mostly good with a smooth rock surface having been refurbished in the last few years. The path up to the Pike is mixed with rough surfaces and steps. About 750ft + ascent. From the Pike we have a choice of routes which we can decide on the day, depending on how people feel, to descend to Liverpool Castle by the reservoir and return to the cars. Total distance will be between 5 and 8 miles depending on which route we choose. Please bring a packed lunch as usual
