Leader: Gwyneth Rees t: 07762 893661
Directions: Anglezarke Reservoir parking PR6 9DW at Junction of Moor Road and Knowsley Lane What3words///sprinter.cluttered.sums There are two car parks for Anglezarke Reservoir. One is a viewing point obvious from the road and high up. That’s not the one. We are using the lower car park which is easily missed. It is straight on at a sharp right turn which takes you up hill to the viewing point. The lower car park might not appear if you put Anglezarke car park into google. M61 to Junction 6 De Haviland Way /A6027 to roundabout. Take 2nd Exit A6/ Chorley Road
Follow A6 to Adlington. At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Railway Road to Anderton. Go straight across at junction with Bolton Road onto Babylon Lane. Follow Babylon Lane, pass Bay Horse on left then cross over M61 and take first left onto Nickleton Brow signed Anglezarke.
Continue onto Nick Hilton’s Lane, pass Yew Tree on right, cross the reservoir. Road swings left to follow reservoir and at junction with road from Rivington keep left, next to reservoir. As road bends sharp right slow down to continue straight on into an entrance where you will see the access road to the car park on your right. I don’t think it is signed. The road climbs up to the car park hidden in the trees.
Parking is free. Car park closes at 5.30pm
