Walk: Approx 7 miles, mainly on good paths. This walk can be shortened in a number of ways for anyone wishing to walk less distance. Approx 1000 ft of ascent/descent but nothing too difficult/steep. At least half of the walk is through ancient woodland, and we go over the Marple Aqueduct and along the canal. 5 stiles. Walking poles useful.

Meet: Brabyns park car park, free, for a 10:30 start. Nearest post code SK6 7DA, What3words ///universal.benched.tiles. With Marple station on your left, heading downhill, there is a carpark on your right. Turn left into the next small road, Brook Road. Follow this down to the end where you will find the car park where we meet. No toilets at car park, but some at Etherow country park, part way round.
