Walk:   Fairly good paths and tracks, some storm damage. A few stiles.

Directions: M56 East. Leave the motorway at junction 5 for Manchester airport. Follow signs for T3 and very soon A555. Stay on A555 for approx. 9 miles, right to its end.  At its end there is a T junction, turn right onto the A6 towards Buxton.  Go past Lyme Park, thro' Disley, still following signs for Buxton A6. Soon after Disley, turn left onto  the A6015 for Hayfield and New Mills. Follow A6015 to Hayfield. On entering Hayfield, there is a Car park sign for the Sett Valley Trail Car Park on LHS. Distance from Warrington is approx. 30miles.  Travel time approx. 50 mins.
