Walk: 7.25 miles 265m total ascent. Very muddy in places, poles and gaiters recommended. Six stiles (five step, one squeeze). Lovely views from various points. Fields, canal towpath, lanes, and roads.

Meet: 10:30 at National Trust Mow Cop Car Park. What3Words ///slate.front.cult. Car park is free for visitors to the folly for two hours. However the monument is unmanned and there is no parking machine.

Other: No toilets on route, and no coffee that I could find when I recce'd the walk. Packed lunch, although sadly I was unable to find anywhere very suitable to sit for this. Portable camping stools may be an advantage!
