Walk: A varied walk starting in New Mills, walking through a gorge with plenty of industrial heritage. We then head up across fields to a vantage point with good views across the valley before heading along the canal and then back to New Mills to cross the millennium bridge. The walk is approx. 7 miles, with approx. 1000 ft of ascent/descent, with an option to shorten to 6 miles if required. It has some stiles, some stony paths, and likely some muddy sections, so walking poles helpful.

Meet: For a 10:30 start. Park and meet at Torr Top Car Park, SK22 4BS. Can get busy. Pay and display, £3.20 exact change or card. What3words ///enjoyable.remotest.withdraws.
