Walk: 7 miles along quiet tracks and paths. Some big puddles, quite a few nettles, brambles and hawthorn branches trying to catch hold of the unwary walker. Almost no ascent. Manchester Ship Canal, Runcorn and Latchford canal, and the River Mersey all feature, together with the Round Cheveral (which isn't round as far as I could see).
