Walk: A lovely circular walk from Walton Arms via Moore then eastward along paths, country lanes, woods and fields to Appleton reservoir and back. 4 stiles, 5.5 miles about 2.5hrs. Very little mud as yet.

Meet: For a 10:30 start at The Walton Arms, Old Chester Road, Higher Walton. What3words ///shorts.host.proof postcode WA4 6TG. Park in the pub car park. No toilets at start but are available at Walton Hall.

Lunch: The Walton Arms is now an Italian "tapas" restaurant called Pesto. Delicious and portions are generous - but no pie and chips!! Is that a deal breaker? I've booked provisionally for up to 16 (on one table).
